| Making snow for the
Winter Olympic Games is a Ratnik Industries
tradition that spans over two decades. Ratnik Industries has supplied snowmaking
equipment and services to nearly every Winter Olympic Games since 1980.
For the most recent 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Ratnik Industries provided snowmaking equipment to all three Olympic downhill skiing venues and also provided system engineering services to two of the Olympic venues, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort. Ratnik Industries designed the snowmaking system master plan at Park City
Mountain Resort. In addition, Ratnik Snow Giant II + II snow guns on
sleds were exclusively used to make snow covering the race trails for
the Olympic Giant Slalom Alpine Skiing Events. At Deer Valley Resort,
Ratnik Snow Giant II snow guns on sleds made snow on the upper portion
of the resort trails. At Snowbasin Ski Area, Ratnik equipment was used
to make twenty-five percent of all snow covering the race trails for the
Downhill, Super-G, and Combined Alpine Skiing events.
